We are a friendly, progressive mixed veterinary practice based near York, currently seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive and expanding team.
You will become part of a collaborative group of 22 vets, including three small-animal dedicated clinicians working alongside rotating mixed practitioners.
Out-of-hours duties are covered exclusively by the mixed practice team.
The Role:
- Part-time position: 2–3 days per week
- Friday availability essential
- Mix of consulting and surgical work
- Occasional sole charge
- Mentoring and supporting less experienced mixed vets in small animal cases
- Handling a variety of in-house medical cases with referral options for more complex surgeries
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience
- Background in mixed practice desirable
- Confident in both medicine and routine surgery
- Supportive, team-focused and approachable
- Comfortable providing guidance and mentorship
Salary & Benefits:
- FTE salary up to £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
