A brand-new small animal practice in Crowborough, East Sussex, is looking for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide additional support during the early stages of the practice opening.
The practice is due to open in September and is looking for a confident vet who is comfortable working in sole charge and would enjoy being part of a new practice from the very beginning.
The Role:
- Start date: 21st September
- 2–3 days per week
- Sole-charge position
- Share of Saturday morning consultations
- No OOH or on-call requirements
- Rolling block booking available
- Brand-new practice with a currently light caseload
- Opportunity to help establish the practice and its client base
Rota Options:
Option 1
2-week rolling rota
- Week 1: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm
- Week 2: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm + Saturday, 9am–1pm (consultations only)
- 1-hour unpaid lunch on full days
Option 2:
3-week rolling rota
- Week 1: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm
- Week 2: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm
- Week 3: Monday, Tuesday & Friday, 9am–7pm + Saturday, 9am–1pm (consultations only)
- 1-hour unpaid lunch on full days

The role would suit a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who is happy working sole charge and is looking for a longer-term locum opportunity with a brand-new practice and the chance to help shape its early development.
